I'd prefer not to lose three buy ins a night, but I don't know how to take shots in a measured way? how do you guys do it? I actually like that I can see I've plateau'd and I'm excited to take risks and mix it up with the big players, but I feel like my only option in these games is to get reckless and take wild shots once in a while with my stack when I feel that I have a slight advantage. then am I going to fold with half my stack in already? I don't really re-raise pre, which I'm sure I need to, but it feels like that re-raise is effectively for my whole stack, as I'm putting 60 in pre, then post make it 120 for a pot sized bet. if I fold pre, then I'm playing even less hands than I already do and I'm that guy waiting for aces at the end of the table. it feels like each decision is for my whole stack all of a sudden. what do I do after the flop? do I then jam it on the flop with 200 bucks in the pot and another 250 in my stack? I'm really lost. or say I raise to 60 myself with the AJ and I have one or two callers. but does that mean I go all in with AJ pre? seems crazy. I know the button is making a squeeze here.
